SALVOPARTRIA
Bogotá, Colombia 2011

Architectural Design, Furniture and Construction:
Arq. Nathalia Martinez Saavedra
Located in a traditional neighborhood in Bogotá, the 50mts2 space was originally used as a garage. The challenge as a designer was to fit a full equipped kitchen, plenty of storage and enough sitting places to fulfill the young restaurant-café requirements. The flooring made with the traditional handcraft mosaic technique, was specially designed for Salvopatria. In the interior space, the dinning area and kitchen are not divided to give a more trustful feeling to the homemade organic food. The wall is used in both sides as large shelves for storage, while the coffee machine in the middle of the room is always visible to everyone. The sunny terrace with vivid colors opens up to the park and welcomes people to try one of the best Colombian coffees.
